Privacy Policy

StockIQ is a private investment-research and simulated-trading portal. This policy explains what information StockIQ handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

The short version: StockIQ does not sell personal information. Account, research, support, and simulated-trading data are used to operate and secure the portal. Portfolio access is permission-controlled, but you should never enter brokerage credentials or account numbers.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the StockIQ website, portal, installed web app, and related support and account communications (collectively, the “Service”). It does not govern third-party sites or services that StockIQ links to.

2. Information StockIQ collects

Do not submit Social Security numbers, government IDs, bank or brokerage login credentials, payment-card information, or full brokerage account numbers. StockIQ does not need them.

3. How information is used

StockIQ uses information to:

StockIQ does not use portal data to execute real trades or provide personalized investment advice.

4. Account visibility and owner access

The StockIQ owner and authorized administrators can review account requests, account status, member activity, and support conversations to administer the portal, provide support, and mentor members. Access to portfolio information depends on the account’s assigned permissions. StockIQ is designed to keep personal holdings out of research-only and demo accounts, but authorized administrators and infrastructure providers may process information as needed to operate the Service.

If you use a shared login or shared workspace, other people with that login may see information stored under it. Do not place private holdings in a shared account.

5. When information is shared

StockIQ does not sell personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Information may be disclosed to:

Third-party services process information under their own terms and privacy notices. Links to financial news, filings, charts, calendars, YouTube, GitHub, or other external sites may allow those sites to collect information when you visit them.

6. Cookies, local storage, and tracking choices

StockIQ primarily uses browser local storage and session storage for portal functionality, preferences, caches, and authentication. Cloudflare Turnstile may use technical signals necessary to distinguish people from automated abuse. StockIQ does not currently operate third-party advertising trackers or track users across unrelated websites for advertising.

Because StockIQ does not currently conduct cross-site behavioral tracking, it does not separately respond to legacy browser “Do Not Track” signals. Where legally required and technically supported, StockIQ will honor applicable browser-based opt-out preference signals. Clearing site data in your browser removes device-only StockIQ storage and signs you out, but does not delete server-side account or synced data.

7. Retention and security

Member-activity records are automatically deleted after approximately 180 days. Account, portfolio, cloud-synced workspace, and support records are generally retained while the account is active and afterward as reasonably needed for account administration, security, dispute resolution, legal obligations, or until a valid deletion request is completed. Device-only information remains until you clear it or the application removes an expired cache.

StockIQ uses access controls, encrypted connections, password hashing or managed authentication, rate limits, security checks, and optional authenticator MFA. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Protect your password, MFA secret, reset links, device, and any shared-account access.

8. Location of processing

StockIQ and its providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules different from the rules where you live.

9. Your privacy choices and rights

You may ask StockIQ to provide access to, correct, or delete personal information associated with your account, or to deactivate the account. You may also object to or request restriction of certain processing, withdraw consent where processing depends on consent, or request a portable copy where applicable. Rights vary by location and may be subject to identity verification and legal exceptions.

You can clear device-only data through your browser settings. To stop transactional alerts, change the relevant alert setting or contact StockIQ. Essential account and security messages cannot always be opted out of while an account remains active.

StockIQ will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. If you are unsatisfied with a response, you may have the right to appeal or complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority.

10. Children

StockIQ is not directed to children under 13, and StockIQ does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact StockIQ so it can be reviewed and deleted as appropriate.

11. Changes to this policy

StockIQ may update this policy when the Service or its privacy practices change. The effective date above will be revised, and material changes may also be announced in the portal or by email when appropriate.

12. Contact StockIQ

For privacy questions or to exercise a privacy right, email amanuelk@gmail.com with the subject “StockIQ privacy request.” Include the username or email associated with the account and the nature of the request, but do not send your password, MFA code, brokerage credentials, or sensitive financial documents.

StockIQ may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
